Hi, I am a woven textile designer/maker with a sustainable approach to my design practice. My work references nature, landscapes and a love of mid-Century design and culture. Using colour, texture and simple pattern , I love to create one-of-a-kind hand woven pieces.
After studying textile design, my early career took me down the printed textiles route and then into art and design education. I set up weaveawaytextiles and now I produce hand woven designs. My love of the weaving process is enhanced by using a simple floor loom, which allows me to focus on colour , pattern and the enjoyment of creating individual pieces in my home studio using quality sourced materials.
